The description sounds exactly like occult meditation (often referred to as "Christian" contemplative prayer, transcendental meditation, centering prayer, etc.). This is extremely dangerous. You could read the novel "Castles in the Sand" by Carolyn A. Greene for an introduction of how seemingly spritual exercises are actually not of God, and can open one up to entities that are definitely not from Him. God bless you. P.S.
