Anne and Kiki

I decided to take a break from posting baby pictures and announce my early-birthday present about 6 days late.

For my birthday, I got a furred, feline animal commonly called (on this planet) a cat.

As I can anticipate the responses to this post, I will add a very fitting post from Anne Shirley about a week before she became Anne Blythe.
In "Anne's house of Dreams", as she describes her 'ideal wedding' to Marilla and Mrs. Lynde, the latter says:

"But that would be terrible queer, Anne. Why, it wouldn't really seem legal. And what would Mrs. Harmon Andrews say?"
"Ah, there's the rub," sighed Anne. "There are so many things in life we cannot do because of the fear of what Mrs. Harmon Andrews would say. ''Tis true, 'tis pity, and pity 'tis, 'tis true.' What delightful things we might do were it not for Mrs. Harmon Andrews!"
So because I am NOT afraid of such people....I will proudly present my Kiki, twice!

there are certain acquaintances of hers, Sally, that dislike said "furred, feline animal commonly called ... cat". so she would have thought to not mention it for fear of what they'd say. apparently Anne has convinced her otherwise.

said acquaintances occasionally includes her dear sister most unfortunately, and said feline animal is NOT doing its best to win said sister over. :((((

the drama continues......

I really like the coloring on the cat! How old is she?

"Commonly called (on this planet) a cat".

And what do its martian relatives call it?

Hanneke- It is approx.5, and is a seal-point Siamese. It also has brilliant eyes.

Tabby- I have no idea what Jon and jo call it. You'll have to wait till they comment something malicious!

ooh, that was harsh.

Bethany, I think I would be with you on this one. I'm not a big fan of the furry feline.

Cat IS proving herself very stubborn, Sally.

I am trying to my utmost to make her obey. She has one falut...and that is unpardonable.

However, I am really hoping for a change any one of these days. We shall report back once that is remedied, and show you all what a good little lady I have!!

Jon....it is as I thought.

Jenni, you ask for it!! then you get what you ask for and pretend to be upset. :rolllllll:

It is a pretty cat...but I do sympathize very much with Kalipay. I'm sorry Jenni, but the idea that someone (the person's thoughts, not that someone would have these thoughts) would waaant a cat is inconceivable to me.

Hey it looks great to me!!

All it needs is a couple weeks of good feeding and rest and it should make a wonderful meal for some poor starving chinaman.

I think it's so wonderful that you are willing to sacrifice to be able to help feed the poor starving millions aroud the world.

this just keeps going and going! I'm having fun following it. Obviously cats bring out strong opinions in people...

Beth,
I was not upset. I have gotten over my first shock, and now I can tolerate the weaknesses and immaturities in the characters of others. I said nothing derrogatory, or angry.

Anna, dear-
It is pretty much the same feeling as 'wanting' a laptop. Only...the laptop cost a LOT more (in maintenance and otherwise) and doesn't give any companionship or afection.

Mr. K-
I am confused stll about your mental status, because I mentioned not China, nor any other country, in my post...and have not mentioned such a thing in any comment. However, that aside, I didn't know that that was why your youngest sister bred her puppies...interesting.
