Patriotism is a double-edged sword, as far as the Christian is concerned: It is useful for purposes related to a smooth-running country, but best if kept at arm's length so it doesn't encroach on the place in our hearts belonging to God and HIS kingdom alone.
How's that for a spur-of-the-moment definition? :D
